As part o f th e rem odeling
project, the Striblings
opened their kitchen to
th e adjacent living room .
As a result, “ it needed to
feel m ore like a room than
a kitchen,” says designer
Craig Kettles. H e painted
both th e cabinets and walls
th e sam e color, so the
cabinets recede rather
than stand out.
